The Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) has announced the nominees for two major categories in the 2025 Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Awards Gala, spotlighting six individuals whose work continues to strengthen the nation’s tourism experience.

In the Port Frontline Employee of the Year category, four nominees have been recognised for their service at key border-control and security points:

  • Vivian Simon – Antigua and Barbuda Customs & Excise Division
  • Jahlyn Turner – Antigua and Barbuda Department of Immigration
  • Philmore Floyd – Antigua Cruise Port
  • Malvern Charles – Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda

Their nominations highlight the vital role frontline personnel play in ensuring safe, efficient and welcoming experiences for visitors entering the country.

Two nominees have been named for Transportation Service Provider of the Year, reflecting excellence in visitor transport and customer service:

  • Carl Warner – St John’s Taxi Association
  • Ian Richards – United Taxi Company Limited

The ABHTA said all six nominees exemplify the professionalism and dedication that keep Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism sector thriving.

Winners will be announced on 29 November 2025 at the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Awards Gala, hosted at Sandals Grande Antigua under the theme “Mirror Ball Gala – A Night to Reflect and Shine.”

The event is organised by the ABHTA in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, and the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.
