Police in Antigua are investigating a home invasion and assault at Cades Bay on Thursday night in which a 49-year-old woman was reportedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on 6 November, when the woman, who was at home with a friend, was allegedly confronted by her former partner after he broke into the property.
The suspect is said to have dragged the woman from her bed and slammed her into a wall before assaulting her. Her friend intervened, leading to a brief struggle.
Officers later found signs of forced entry through a living-room window. Both women were given medical forms and advised to seek treatment.
Police have not confirmed whether the suspect is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
