Sir Curtly Ambrose Joins Leeward Islands Cricket Board as Technical Consultant

The Leeward Islands Cricket Board (LICB) is proud to announce the appointment of Sir Curtly Ambrose as Technical Consultant, effective October 1, 2025. In this new role, Sir Curtly will provide strategic oversight of the Leeward Islands Hurricanes and serve as a selector on the LICB Selection Panel. He will also act as a mentor to players across all Leeward Islands teams, offering invaluable guidance drawn from his distinguished international career and vast experience in the sport.

LICB President Mr. Enoch Lewis welcomed Sir Curtly to the organization, stating, “We are truly honored to have Sir Curtly Ambrose return to the Leeward Islands cricket setup in a formal capacity. His professionalism, discipline, and commitment to excellence will undoubtedly elevate the standard of our teams. The LICB remains committed to building a structure that nurtures talent and produces champions, and Sir Curtly’s involvement is a major step forward in that mission.”

Sir Curtly Ambrose expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, saying, “It is a privilege to serve the game that has given me so much. I am particularly passionate about helping our young players realize their potential, not just as cricketers but as individuals. The Leeward Islands have always had tremendous talent, and I look forward to working with the players and coaching staff to bring consistent success to the region.”

Sir Curtly’s first assignment in his new role will be to observe the LICB Senior Men’s Tournament in St. Kitts, which begins tomorrow. His presence at the event will allow him to assess emerging talent and gain first-hand insight into the current player pool ahead of the upcoming season.

The LICB extends its full support to Sir Curtly Ambrose as he takes up this important role in shaping the future of Leeward Islands cricket.
