Congratulations to PAS Denise Matthias-Thomas of The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Lands & the Blue Economy

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Lands & the Blue Economy proudly extends heartfelt congratulations to Principal Assistant Secretary (PAS) Denise Matthias-Thomas on her remarkable academic achievement.

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, Mrs. Matthias-Thomas graduated Magna Cum Laude from Monroe University, earning a Master’s Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance. The graduation ceremony was held at the elegant Royalton Saint Lucia Resort, where family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate this outstanding milestone.

Among the 55 graduates who attended the ceremony in Saint Lucia, Mrs. Matthias-Thomas proudly represented Antigua and Barbuda earning her degree with honours and was the only Master’s Degree graduatant from her country — a testament to her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.

Her success is a source of pride and inspiration to her colleagues across the Ministry. Mrs. Matthias-Thomas’s pursuit of higher education reflects the Ministry’s values of professional growth, leadership, and service to national development.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries & the Blue Economy celebrates PAS Denise Matthias-Thomas on this outstanding accomplishment and wishes her continued success as she applies her expanded knowledge and expertise in service to the nation.
