Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, the Hon. H. Charles Fernandez, earlier this week, has extended heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Brian Emmanuel Sims, CEO of Got Stamps? Travel LLC, for his timely donation of cash, sporting items, and school supplies to the Cedar Grove Primary School.

During a courtesy visit, Minister Fernandez presented Mr. Sims with a hand-crafted Wari board, symbolizing friendship, collaboration, and gratitude for his group’s generosity and positive engagement during their visit to Antigua and Barbuda.

Minister Fernandez commended Mr. Sims for his thoughtful initiative to give back while on vacation, especially to a school that holds personal significance to him.

“Your willingness to give back while enjoying your time in Antigua and Barbuda speaks volumes of your character and your commitment to making a difference. We are truly grateful for your generosity,” Minister Fernandez remarked.

Mr. Sims, who owns and operates Got Stamps? Travel LLC in the United States, shared that he and his travel group were delighted to immerse themselves in the culture, cuisine, and beauty of Antigua. He emphasized that contributing to the community felt like a natural extension of their experience.

“Antigua has exceeded all our expectations, the people, the food, the energy, everything. It only felt right to give back to an island we’ve grown to love,” said Mr. Sims.

He further explained that his travel company promotes Antigua and Barbuda as a must-visit destination and that this trip has strengthened his personal and professional commitment to the destination.

“Now that I’ve experienced it firsthand, marketing Antigua and Barbuda will be even easier, it’s truly a place I can see myself calling home,” he added.

In presenting the Wari board, Minister Fernandez shared insights into the cultural and historical significance of the traditional game, noting its symbolism of strategy, endurance, and community spirit.

“This Wari board is not only a beautiful piece of art but also a part of our story, a reminder of the resilience and creativity of our people. It’s a little piece of Antigua to take back with you,” he said.

Got Stamps? Travel LLC is a U.S.-based travel and tour company built on six pillars: Philanthropy, Cultural Cuisine, Yacht Life, Photoshoots, Nightlife, and Excursions. The company specializes in group travel experiences that combine leisure, culture, and social impact, ensuring that travelers leave each destination a little better than they found it.

Their donation came at a critical time for the Cedar Grove Primary School, which had recently suffered setbacks due to acts of vandalism. The group’s gesture provided both tangible support and emotional upliftment for the school community, a bright moment in what had otherwise been a challenging period.
