Chinese Pavilion Strengthens Ties at Sir Novelle Richards Academy
The friendship between Antigua and Barbuda and China was reaffirmed this week with the donation of a traditional Chinese-style pavilion to the Sir Novelle Richards Academy.
During a brief handover ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yanling and Principal Mrs. Bradshaw signed the official certificate marking the pavilion’s transfer to the school.
Ambassador Zhang described the structure as a “window into Chinese culture” and a lasting symbol of cooperation in education and culture. Principal Bradshaw thanked the Chinese government, noting the school’s commitment to deepening cultural and academic exchange through Chinese language studies and related programs.
The elegant pavilion, now a centerpiece of the school courtyard, will serve as a gathering space for students and teachers while standing as a reminder of enduring friendship and shared learning.
