Police Outpost West Bus
The St. John’s Fire Station is investigating an incident that occurred at the West Bus Station Police Outpost on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
According to Inspector Bagot, the station received the report at 6:50 am and immediately dispatched the No. 17 fire tender to the scene.
While no active flames were seen upon arrival, a detailed check of the building revealed a different situation inside.
“On arrival at the scene, the fire crew did not observe any fire at the outpost,” Inspector Bagot reported. “However, upon closer inspection, it was observed that the interior and contents of the police outpost had suffered significant fire damage.”
Because the fire was no longer active when the crew arrived, the inspector noted that “the fire crew did not go into action.”
The specific cause of the blaze has not yet been identified, and Inspector Bagot stated that “the incident is presently under the investigation of the police”.
