Ablp Canvas Removed From
The canvas of Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate Max Fernandez has been removed from a the billboard erected by an opposition candidate..
United Progressive Party candidate for St George, Kelton Dalso said that he received a call yesterday that ABLP members were placing a canvas of Fernandez on a billboard purchased by Dalso himself.
Dalso said the billboard was empty when the Fernandez team arrived to put up their branding. He gave the team until 10 yesterday morning to take it down. He said a crew arrived at approximately 8:45 a.m. to remove the canvas from the structure.
Dalso said that he built and paid for the billboard on the hill between New Winthorpes and Barnes Hill.
“They just went and placed their canvas on my billboard that I erected and paid for, it’s intentional because look how far St. George is from St. John’s Rural North.
“I would not stand for any form of intimidation or any provocation by the Antigua Labour Party,” he said.
Dalso said he plans to put his own canvas on the billboard last evening.
