Thirty Laptops – By Jeressa Jeremy
Thirty Laptops Reported Stolen
The Ministry of Health reported a break-in and theft at its headquarters that occurred between Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14, 2026, during which 30 Dell Pro 16 notebook computers were stolen.
The Ministry said that these devices had been provided by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for use in community clinics, and the loss is a setback to healthcare modernization and patient care.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Frankie Thomas confirmed that the crime had been committed and investigators responded and found that unknown persons had broken into the building.
However, a specific time during which the crime was committed has not been pinned down.
The investigation is currently ongoing and no suspects have been identified.
However, the public is being warned not to purchase or accept any laptops matching the description of the stolen devices.
A list of the serial numbers for the devices has been released, and the Ministry noted that possession of the items may lead to legal consequences.
