age grandma mirie launches - At Age 92 Grandma Mirie Launches Website

Following the success of her 2024 book, “Mirie’s Magic Recipe: Loving, Leading, Legacy”, Grandma Mirie embarked on a world tour across three continents, sharing her story of resilience, leadership, and island wisdom. This year, her journey continues to Africa, where she will participate in conversations on food sovereignty, heritage preservation, and agro-entrepreneurship.

Age Grandma Mirie Launches

A lifelong agro-processor with more than 90 products made from her backyard garden, Grandma Mirie has built a body of work deeply rooted in soil and story. Her jams, jellies, herbal blends, and traditional foods are more than products, they are living expressions of memory, survival, healing, and community.

At the centre of Grandma Mirie’s world is the kitchen door, the threshold connecting her kitchen to the backyard garden. It is there her philosophy takes root: food grows, stories grow, and so too must our understanding of wealth, health, and well-being.

Born between two world wars, Grandma Mirie grew up in a time when survival came first and money was rarely discussed openly. Across many Caribbean households, financial matters were handled quietly, often shaped by scarcity and uncertainty. While that reality taught discipline, resourcefulness, and resilience, it also created fear, silence, and limitations around wealth-building.

Today, as Chief Kindness Officer of SFCG and author of “Mirie’s Magic Recipe: Loving, Leading, Legacy”, Grandma Mirie is helping to rewrite that story. She teaches children that wealth grows much like food, through seeds, care, patience, and consistency. Her message is simple yet powerful: transforming generational money mindsets can also improve emotional and mental well-being.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, Grandma Mirie’s voice encourages communities to examine the unseen forces shaping our lives—including the deep connections between food, money, survival, healing, and hope.
