A 29-year-old male resident of Herbert’s is in stable condition after he was shot while in a parked vehicle on Tonge Lane in Cashew Hill, in the early morning hours of Monday, August 3rd.

According to reports, the man was in his Toyota Noah motor van near his former girlfriend’s home, around 2:24 a.m., when he saw a shadow appear at the driver’s window. He reported hearing two gunshots before seeing the masked assailant run in a westerly direction.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, with the bullet exiting through his chest. He was treated at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and kept for observation.
Reports are that the motor van had two bullet holes in the driver’s window.
The suspect, who wore a mask, was described as slimly built and dressed in dark clothing.
Investigations into the shooting are ongoing.
