Police are searching for suspects following an armed robbery at a Potters bakery and a separate shooting in Hatton on Tuesday night that left a man in critical condition.
In the first incident, a lone masked gunman entered Brownie’s Bakery and robbed the cashier of an undisclosed sum of money at about
7:45 p.m., police said.
The suspect was described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and slimly built. He was reportedly wearing a red long-sleeved hoodie, a red bandanna over his face, sunglasses and gloves.
After the robbery, the gunman fled on foot before reportedly getting into a silver Honda Accord, which was driven from the area.
Police are also investigating the shooting of Trevor Underwood of Weatherhills Estate near Bruce’s Night Club in Hatton at about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Underwood was reportedly shot while inside his vehicle. He drove himself to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was treated for two gunshot wounds to the lower abdomen. Police said he was in critical condition and required emergency surgery.
