The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Department has announced deadlines for work permit applications and fee payments as it prepares for a temporary interruption of some services at the end of 2026.

In a notice issued Monday, October 26, the Office of the Labour Commissioner said December 11, 2026, will be the final date for submitting work permit applications for the year.
The department said it will resume accepting applications on January 4, 2027.
Meanwhile, December 30, 2026, has been set as the final date for payments relating to work permit applications, work permit fees, CARICOM Skills Certificate applications and CARICOM Skills Certificate verification fees.
Cashier services will resume on January 4, 2027.
The Labour Department assured the public that all other services will continue operating as normal.
