The Salvation Army is inviting individuals struggling to provide for their families to register for its annual food package programme.
Registration takes place on 2 December at the Salvation Army Citadel on Long Street, from 09:00 to 15:00. Applicants must present a government-issued photo ID.
Those registering on behalf of others may bring that person’s ID.
Successful applicants will receive a card indicating their collection date, either 17 or 18 December.
The Salvation Army is also appealing for donations.
Contributions can be delivered to its headquarters at 36 Long Street, or donors may call 785-5019 to arrange collection.
