Skerritt’s Pasture Man Charged in Forgery and Fraud Investigations

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Wednesday, December 31, 2025

The police have arrested and charged Ian Michael Martin of Skerritt’s Pasture in connection with multiple fraud-related offences involving forged cheques at banking institutions in St. John’s.

The charges arise from incidents on December 23 and 24, 2025, at banks on Friars Hill Road and Market and High Streets.
Martin is accused of using forged cheques to fraudulently obtain $17,670.56 EC and attempting to obtain a further $65,588.67 EC.

He has been charged with Intent to Defraud, Larceny, Uttering Forged Documents, Attempting to Obtain Property by Deception, and Receiving Proceeds of Crime.

Martin is expected to appear before the court to answer to the charges.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda continues to actively investigate financial crimes and encourages the public to report any suspicious activities.
