Malcolm “Alvin” Charles Makes Timely Donations to the Bethesda Clinic, Freetown Clinic and the Oceanview Preschool (Bethesda)

Malcolm “Alvin” Charles made yet another timely donation to his beloved St.Philip South community.

The donation(s) this time  include three (3) Microwave ovens , three (3) hot water kettles and three (3) 220 Volts Step-Down transformers to protect the appliances.

Nurse Osbourne made the request

Malcolm Charles recalled that he’d been asked by Nurse Osbourne at the Bethesda Clinic for a microwave oven. Malcolm Charles, with his genuine love and care for the people, decided to do even more by extending the same gesture to the Oceanview Preschool (Bethesda) and the Freetown Clinic.

Malcolm Charles remarked that “It is important to ensure both our nurses and patients are well taken care of. The nurses now have the ability to warm their meals or provide a hot cup of tea to the patients as they wait to be attended to.” He continued, “It’s the little things that have the greatest impact on people”.

Over the past three years Malcolm “Alvin” Charles has given back to the St.Philip South community in the following ways:

  1. Restoration of the Bethesda Basketball Court.
  2. Sponsoring of the Bethesda Basket Ball tournament, providing a boost to village vendors.
  3. Donation of lawnmower, line marking paint, Gatorade powders, and nets to the Bethesda Sport Club.
  4. Back to School Supplies for the children in the St.Philip South community.
  5. Water tank distribution throughout the community.
  6. Support for the Annual Summer Reading Camp (Methodist Church).
  7. Christmas Party (2024) for the community.
  8. Full scholarship to ABIIT for the youths of the St.Philip South community.
  9. Lawnmower for the maintenance of the St.Philip playfield.
  10. Timely donations of much needed supplies to the Freetown Primary School.
  11. Annual support of the Freetown Primary School graduation and other events.
  12. Formation of a Youth Entrepreneurial Group in Freetown. The youths were able to put on events such as a moonlight barbecue and  a Community Fun Day.
  13. Strong advocate for better road conditions resulting in major road patch work over the past few months, and much needed repairs (twice) to the hill pass road between Christian Hill and Picadilly.
Malcolm “Alvin” Charles stated that he will continue to seek more ways to improve the lives of the residents of the St. Philip South community.
