The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has announced significant progress at the Ivan Rodrigues Reverse Osmosis Plant, where major mainline installation works are nearing completion. The upgrades, carried out in partnership with the Seven Seas Water Group, form part of one of the Authority’s most substantial infrastructure investments in recent years.
According to APUA, the project marks a critical phase in efforts to strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s water infrastructure, improve supply reliability, and enhance water quality for residents across the country.
On Thursday, Minister Melvin Nicholas, APUA’s Chief Executive Officer John Bradshaw, members of the APUA Water Business Unit, and representatives from Seven Seas Water visited the site, where they witnessed the successful production of potable water from the upgraded system. Officials described the moment as an important milestone that signals improved capacity and future stability in national water supply.
APUA expressed gratitude to its staff, its partners at Seven Seas, and the public for their patience and support throughout the upgrade works. The Authority said it remains committed to delivering stronger systems and a more resilient water network for the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
