A regional youth development expert is in Antigua and Barbuda to support efforts to tackle gun violence, gang activity and juvenile delinquency.
Dr David Muhammad, who is based in Trinidad and Tobago, is visiting at the invitation of Khalid Shabazz to share evidence-based approaches to reducing youth involvement in crime. His work focuses on early intervention, mentorship, education and community-led solutions.
He is expected to hold talks with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, with possible engagements at schools. Officials say further details on his public activities will be announced during the visit.
