MP Richard Lewis’ New Year Message

January 1, 2026
in News, Sport

Happy New Year!

As we stand on the cusp of a new year, let us give God thanks for taking us safely through 2025. We pray for His grace and mercy as we enter 2026, especially with the uncertainties that lie ahead for us as a nation.

We remember those who departed this life in 2025. We pray for comfort for the bereaved families.

As we reflect on the successes and challenges of 2025, let us step into the unknown of 2026 with a determined spirit to endeavour to make Antigua and Barbuda the best it can be.

Many of us desire change in many aspects of life here in Antigua and Barbuda. Let the change begin with us. Let us be the change we want to see.

I pray for a New Year filled with joy and prosperity. I pray for health, strength and wealth for you and your family. I pray for a New Year where we can experience true people-centered governance – not only in words but in deeds. I pray for togetherness, as together we can build a better nation and ensure a brighter future, where we can truly say: “Each Endeavouring, All Achieving!”

My family and I take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2026. May your dreams and aspirations come to fruition.

To the residents of St. John’s Rural West, I have been there for you, and I will continue to champion your cause. I will continue to lobby the Central Government and its agencies, on your behalf, for needed infrastructure and services. I will continue to provide the leadership and guidance you deserve.

Peace and Love.

Happy New Year!
