Minister of Education and parliamentary representative Daryl Matthew has expressed his gratitude to volunteers who took part in a community clean-up exercise in Ottos on Sunday.
Residents joined the initiative to remove litter, clear overgrown areas and improve the general appearance of the neighbourhood. Organisers said the turnout reflected growing community interest in keeping public spaces tidy.
Mr Matthew praised the efforts of those who participated, emphasising that maintaining a clean environment required shared responsibility.
“Thank you to the men and women who share this commitment and work hard to keep our community clean,” he said, noting that he remained dedicated to supporting similar initiatives in the constituency.
Local volunteers say they expect further clean-ups to take place later this year as part of ongoing efforts to promote civic pride and environmental awareness.
