Antigua and Barbuda Students in Jamaica to Be Housed at Pegasus During Storm
The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has arranged temporary accommodation for Antiguan and Barbudan students in Jamaica as Tropical Storm Melissa approaches the island.
Officials confirmed that the students will be housed at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel for two nights beginning Saturday, October 25, 2025. The stay includes complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner—with certain restrictions—and rooms will be double occupancy.
Students must present a valid Antigua and Barbuda passport along with their student ID to benefit from the arrangement.
Authorities said the situation will be reassessed once the storm has passed. If an evacuation becomes necessary, Prime Minister Gaston Browne has advised that a charter flight will be provided to facilitate the students’ return home.
Students may begin checking into the hotel from midday Saturday.
