APUA Telecoms Crowned 2025 Ministry of Sports Business League Football Champions

APUA Telecoms have been named the 2025 champions of the Ministry of Sports Business League Football Tournament, following a competitive season that saw strong performances across all divisions.

The team secured the top title after a consistent campaign and standout individual displays.

The Ministry of Agriculture finished as runners-up, while Hermitage Bay claimed third place.

During the group stage, four organisations emerged as group winners:

  • Group 1: St John’s Development Corporation
  • Group 2: Ministry of Agriculture
  • Group 3: Postal Services
  • Group 4: Hermitage Bay

In the exhibition match, HMP United took the win.

APUA Telecoms dominated the individual awards. Rakeem Joseph was named Most Valuable Player, while Tariq Highland earned Best Defender. The organisation also swept the leadership categories, with Berchel Andrew awarded Manager of the Year and Colin Ralph recognised as Coach of the Year.

Other notable honours included Roy Gregory of Hermitage Bay, who secured the Most Goals award, and Chad Williams of the Ministry of Agriculture, named Best Midfielder.

Tournament organisers expressed gratitude to all participating teams and extended special thanks to Hermitage Bay, Blue Waters Hotel and Keyonna Beach for their support.

Appreciation was also given to sponsors KOSCAB Antigua, Paint Plus, Cool & Smooth/JOMA Caribbean and TWatkins Enterprise.

The Ministry of Sports described this year’s competition as one of the most engaging to date, highlighting the high standard of play and sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament.
