CONGRATULATIONS (Miss Axleigh A. D. Akez):

The Ottos Comprehensive School, affectionately known as OCS, beam with pride to celebrate the major accomplishments its brightest star Miss Axleigh A. D. Akez, who graduated as the top CSEC Student of this year’s class.

She sat and passed all Nine (9) CSEC subjects with flying colours in one sitting.

Miss Akez is mostly an ‘A’ student, who is driven by her scholarly abilities to strive for excellence in all she does. Always achieving honours from the commencement of her attendance at OCS.

She was awarded the badge of Prefect and maintained high academics throughout her tenure in school.

It was unfortunate that she was not provided the opportunity to actually sit the Schools Common Entrance Examinations due to the set-backs of the Covid dilemma that crippled the true ambitions of many students who was placed in schools because of their geographic region rather their true abilities, but that was no problem as Axleigh’s calling has been heard loud and clear, and she did what she had to do and made OCS proud, thanks to the guided hands that were at the St. John’s Lutheran School.

Axleigh was awarded the Salutatorian, an honour bestowed on a student whose “Academics” outshined her pairs in the entire graduating class of 2025, as she walked away with an antorage of trophies, gifts, and monetary awards for her outstanding achievements in all subject areas for the CSEC Examinations.

The Valedictorian, on the other hand, was awarded to another female student, who according the OCS valuation did not have the highest honours in academics but was consistently showing improvement over her tenure at the school, and she got involved in certain school activities like pan, sports and such. Nevertheless, Axleigh kept her momentum and focused on her academics, which she knew she was best at.

Congratulations are in order to a beautiful, intelligent, and dedicated young lady, who has proven that her aspirations are to soar to the top, and she has already matriculated as a Freshman in Business Studies at the newly formed Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS).

Axleigh hails from Tindale Road in Ottos to proud parents Dr. Desrie Marisa Southwell, Asc, BBA, MBA, DBA, and Mr. Makinya A. Akez of Willikies Village who is also a proud Graduate with an Associates Degree from the Antigua State College, Engineering Department, and a passed student of the Pilgrim Holiness High School.

So you see where Axleigh’s well rounded scholarly achievements stem from.

It is with great honour that we express sincerest gratitude to those who dedicated their time and energies into molding Miss Axleigh Akez into the scholar that she is, and we pray that she continually aim for higher heights and fulfill her destiny.

God bless you Axleigh, and the entire Antigua and Barbuda, relatives, friends, and well-wishers are extremely proud of your major accomplishments this far.
