The Barbudan man and brother of a former senator who police were questioning in relation to the recent shooting in Cedar Grove which left a young woman dead has been released from custody.
He was released on Monday afternoon.
The man was brought to Antigua from the sister isle over the weekend after police executed a search warrant at his home.
Reports are that he was being questioned about a car he allegedly rented that was used to commit the crime.
Twenty-year-old Xavier Thomas was shot in the leg and stomach after a car opened fire on her and two men as they sat on a corner in Cedar Grove on Friday, August 18.
She died at the hospital while receiving treatment.
Lorne “TI” Nicholas, 49, and Shane Matthew, 32, were also shot during the drive-by incident.
Dorian Marshall, Jason Millette and Shalom Bailey of Donovans are on remand for committing the offenses.
