Some big names in the local soca fraternity will compete in the quarterfinals of Party Monarch competition from tomorrow.
The journey starts for them at the Barrymore Hotel from 6 p.m on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The final count of competitors on each day is not yet known according to Herbert Burga Joseph, Chairman of the Party Monarch Committee.
Combined close to 200 competitors are expected.
However, lovers of soca can expect newcomers, those who’ve been trying for years and the big guns.
Tian Winter, Claudette CP Peters and Ricardo Drue and Menace are all expected to compete for a spot in the semifinals.
Drue won groovy and Tian Jumpy in 2016.
