Calvin Ayre Foundation Continues Holiday Outreach at Friends of the Care Project

December 23, 2025
in News, Sport

In keeping with its long-standing tradition of giving back during the holiday season, the Calvin Ayre Foundation (CAF) brought festive joy to the Friends of the Care Project and Friends Development Centre during its annual Christmas outreach over the weekend.

The event, now a cherished tradition on the Centre’s calendar, saw a carefully selected group of students receive a specially selected gift, presented in an atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and holiday spirit.

The Foundation’s presence has become a highly anticipated part of the Centre’s end-of-year celebrations, offering not only presents but a meaningful show of support to the children and staff.

The occasion, which was also attended by Governor General, Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams, was marked by heartfelt moments, including a special gesture from one of the students, Kuba, who presented CAF’s Manager and Media Relations Specialist of the Ayre Group, Jamilla Kirwan, with a framed, hand-drawn picture as a token of appreciation.

The moment beautifully captured the connection built between the Foundation and the children since 2018.

“On behalf of Ambassador Calvin Ayre, we extend warm holiday wishes to the students, families, and dedicated staff of the Friends of the Care Project and the Friends Development Centre,” said Kirwan.

“It is always a joy to return here each year, and we remain deeply committed to supporting this incredible work being done. The smiles on the children’s faces make it clear that moments like this matter, and that is why we keep showing up.”

Through initiatives like this, the Calvin Ayre Foundation continues to reinforce its broader mission of community upliftment, inclusion, and compassion, particularly for vulnerable groups.

The annual gift-giving event stands as a reminder that small acts of kindness can go a long way in creating joy and meaningful connection, especially during the festive season.
