The Clare Hall Secondary School did not have an easy walkover on Wednesday as they faced up St. Anthony’s Academy in the Cool and Smooth Interschool Basketball in the Senior Boys Division. However, Tajahron Davis continued his dominant form in the league registering 46 points in his team’s 81-71 victory.
He received support from Luis Ozuna added 11 points, while Jahaziel Santana and Donte Richards each contributed 10 points in support.
St Anthony’s fought valiantly as Kamal Mason led the way with 21 points, while Khalil Roberts added 11. Israel Clarke and Jaden Martin each chipped in 10 points as four players reached double figures.
In the other Senior Division encounter, Princess Margaret School cruised to a comfortable 33-point victory over Island Academy with the score reading 77-44. Gabriel De Suza led all scorers with 29 points, Noah Massiah provided strong support with 24 points and Elijah Charles contributed 17 points as three Princess Margaret players scored in double figures.
For Island Academy, Elijah Peters and Lian Muna both scored 11 points, but the team struggled to generate consistent offense against Princess Margaret’s strong defense.
Another one-sided victory saw St Joseph’s Academy defeated Island Academy in Junior Boys with a 75-27 win to win by 48 points.
Nathan Matthew topscored with a game-high 27 points, Jayden Lewis provided excellent support with 17 points, Erije Joseph contributed 16 points, and Tristan Thibou added 12 as St Joseph’s had four players in double figures.
