The government, in partnership with the Caribbean Development Bank, has opened a two-day capacity-building workshop aimed at improving the skills of local contractors and strengthening their ability to compete for major projects.
The training, led by the Ministries of Finance and Works, focuses on preparing effective bids, meeting technical requirements and managing projects from start to finish.
Officials said the workshop is intended to help contractors secure more local and regional opportunities.
Works Minister Maria Browne called the initiative a strategic investment in the economy, saying the government wants a more competitive construction sector that can support national development and expand into regional markets.
