King Zacari dethroned his daughter Queen Thalia winning the Wadadli Beer Calypso Monarch after two rounds of competition in the wee hours of Monday morning.
He is no stranger to winning as he has won several titles in the past.
After his victory, he told reporters that he won the crown for his entire family and there is no rivalry between himself and his daughter.
His songs “Descendants of Uncle Tom” and “Delivery of Carnival Anniversary 60” led him to capture the crowd.
He also was awarded Best Spirit of Carnival Song.
First Runner up was won by Stumpy, who sang “Gaston Computer” and “Like in the Time of Jesus” he also won Best Rendered Song of the competition.
Second Runner-up is Queen Singing Althea who performed “Caribbean Wake Up Call” and “Turn On the Light”.
She also won Best Social Commentary Calypso for Turn On the Light.

Most Humorous Calypso – Liard Eulogy by King Singing Sudden
Best Spirit of Carnival Song – Carnival 60 by Dr Solo
People’s Choice Award was won by De Bear who sang Don’t Call Me Phone and Gaston Killing Calypso
