Upper Fort Road Man Dies Following Shooting Incident
The police are investigating a homicide following the death of a 43-year-old man who was shot early Friday morning at Upper Fort Road.
Louis Armstrong, a resident of Upper Fort Road, succumbed to his injuries at approximately 7:24 a.m. on Saturday, while receiving medical treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
Police officers responded to reports of a shooting near Toy Toy Restaurant, where Armstrong was discovered lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, eye, and left hand.
The matter is now under active murder investigation, and the police are appealing to members of the public for any information that may assist in identifying the person(s) responsible.
