Police detain alleged ‘vampire’ vagrant killer

Lawmen have detained a person Public Safety Minister Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin is calling a “vampire.”

The prime minister said the person is suspected of killing several homeless people earlier in the year. There have been about four reports of vagrants found dead throughout 2017.

Benjamin did not give the name of the supect nor whom he/she is suspected of killing; but the person is thought to be vagrant themself.

“There is a person in custody at the moment who like the days of the vampire, I beleive their (the victims) throats would be slashed and blood drank,” Benjamin said without giving aditional details.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne said every single life is important, even the life of a vagrant.

He said “a deranged person…would have taken out a few vagrants earlier in the year.”

Browne was at the time speaking to the question of crime at his end of year news conference.

The police did not provide additional information about the alleged vampire vagrant killer.
