Several injured in separate accidents this morning

A child is among the injured resulting from three separate accidents which took place moments apart this morning.

The John Hughes Primary School student crossing the road with friends when he was hit by an SUV.

Ambulance took the boy said to about 9 years-old to hospital. The extent of the injuries are not yet known.

In a separate incident near Five Islands, lawmen confirmed that 36-year-old Lisa Cannonier is hospitalized.

She was driving a taxi bus when it collided with a small rental vehicle, the occupants of the car were not injured.

In the wee hours of the morning a 25-year-old man, Kenya Carton of Tindale Road was injured after he crashed in the Mount Joy area and collided with a concrete slab.

He is being treated in hospital.

There have also been reports of a serious accident on the Tyrells main road.
