in News

At Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, we’re always working to improve your care experience, and we’re excited to share that our Emergency Room has officially begun transitioning to a paperless system.

As we make this shift, there may be a brief period of adjustment. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our team becomes fully accustomed to this new and improved way of working.

𝗚𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀:

𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 — Your information is entered and shared instantly across our care teams, helping us respond more quickly.

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 — Digital records reduce the risk of lost or incomplete paperwork and support safer, more coordinated care.

𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — Clinicians can access your information in real time, wherever they are in the ER.

𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 — Less paper means less waste and a more sustainable hospital system for all of us.

𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 — With fewer manual processes, our team can focus even more on what matters most: caring for you.

This is a big and positive step forward for our hospital, and we’re grateful to our community for walking with us as we evolve and modernize.

Thank you for your continued support, and for trusting us with your care.
