The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA) has released its 2025 Year in Review video, capturing a year defined by growth, global connectivity, and immersive experiences that continue to position the destination as far more than a beach getaway.

The video highlights key achievements throughout 2025, including increased airlift, the successful hosting of major destination events, and a strong focus on culinary and experiential tourism. From world-renowned sailing events and Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month, to Antigua Carnival, Art Week, and major tourism infrastructure updates, the visuals showcase the vibrant energy and cultural depth of the twin-island nation.

“2025 has been a year of momentum, meaningful connections, and continued growth for our tourism industry,” said Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. “We strengthened our global reach, showcased our culture, and delivered experiences that differentiate and define our twin-island paradise.”

James also extended heartfelt thanks to tourism partners, frontline teams, destination content creators, cultural ambassadors, and local communities, whose collective efforts continue to shape exceptional visitor experiences and strengthen the global brand of Antigua and Barbuda.

When Visiting Antigua and Barbuda, an Awesome Vacation Awaits — and Here’s Why…

Visit Antigua & Barbuda – The beach is just the beginning

An Awesome Vacation Awaits

As showcased in the 2025 Year in Review video, visiting Antigua and Barbuda means stepping into a destination where extraordinary experiences come together effortlessly. Located in the heart of the Caribbean Sea, the twin-island paradise offers two distinct island experiences, complemented by ideal temperatures year-round, rich history, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality.

Antigua, the larger of the two islands, blends breathtaking natural beauty with cultural vibrancy. Its dramatic landscapes, historic landmarks, and lively events calendar make it a hub for exploration and celebration. Visitors can enjoy 365 pink and white-sand beaches—one for every day of the year—alongside award-winning resorts and mouth-watering cuisine that reflects the island’s diverse influences.

History and culture take center stage at Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s only continuously operating Georgian-era dockyard. The destination’s dynamic events, including Antigua Sailing Week, Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month, Antigua Carnival—known as the Caribbean’s Greatest Summer Festival—and Antigua and Barbuda Art Week, further enrich the visitor experience.

Just 27 miles northeast of Antigua lies Barbuda, a tranquil haven accessible by a short flight. Renowned for its untouched 11-mile pink sand beach and the largest Frigate Bird Sanctuary in the Western Hemisphere, Barbuda offers seclusion, natural beauty, and an unmatched sense of escape—making it a favorite hideaway for eco-travelers and celebrities alike.

Together, Antigua and Barbuda deliver a destination that goes beyond the expected. From exhilarating excursions and cultural immersion to luxury, nature, and authentic island living, the 2025 Year in Review video makes it clear: when visiting Antigua and Barbuda, an awesome vacation truly awaits.
