Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica each recorded zero B1/B2 visa issuances during the first two months of 2026, according to data highlighting wide disparities across selected Caribbean and neighbouring South American countries.

Trinidad and Tobago topped the group with 4,431 visas issued, followed by Guyana with 2,777. Barbados recorded 865 issuances during the same period.
The figures were considerably lower across the Eastern Caribbean. St Kitts and Nevis recorded 238 visas, St Lucia 192, Grenada 164 and St Vincent and the Grenadines 144.
B1/B2 visas generally allow eligible foreign nationals to travel temporarily to the United States for business, tourism or a combination of both purposes.

However, a figure of zero should not automatically be interpreted as meaning that every applicant from Antigua and Barbuda or Dominica was refused. Visa statistics may be categorised by the embassy or consular post where applications were processed rather than solely by applicants’ nationality or country of residence.
Further clarification may therefore be necessary to determine whether the figures represent visas issued to citizens of each country or visas processed at diplomatic missions located within those jurisdictions.
