September 23, 2025
in News, Sport

The Development Control Authority (DCA) of Antigua and Barbuda wishes to inform the public that, moving forward, notices of demolition/removal will be made available to the public in advance. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and ensuring that all members of the public are properly informed of enforcement actions taken under the Physical Planning Act, 2003.

What Information Will Be Published

Each public notice will provide:

General location of the property (community or area). Block and Parcel Number.

Registration Section.

Nature of the breach in planning control (e.g., erecting a wooden structure for usage without permission from the DCA or other relevant agencies). Applicable section(s) of the Physical Planning Act, 2003, under which enforcement is being carried out.

Outline of possible penalties for the specific breach.

What Will Not Be Published

To protect the privacy of individuals, personal information such as the name, address, or other identifying details of property owners or occupants will not be disclosed.

Purpose of the Notice

These public notices are intended to:

Keep the public informed of planning enforcement activities.

Provide clarity on the reasons behind demolitions/removals.

Reinforce the importance of compliance with the Physical Planning Act and other relevant regulations.
