Donation Support – The Lions Club of Antigua, in partnership with Cool & Smooth Store, donated a refrigeratorto the Zion Church of God on North Street in St John’s on 27th May 2026.
Donation Support Feeding Programme
Valued at EC $8,500 the appliance is a major contribution to the church’s kitchen and will help strengthen its feeding programme.
For over 35 years, the church has provided meals to vulnerable people in communities across Antigua. Every Wednesday, volunteers prepare more than 45 lunches, which are delivered by members of the Lions Club to the community.
In addition to helping transport the meals, the Lions Club’s annual financial contribution to the project is in excess of $21,000. Vegetables harvested from the club’s community garden on upper Church Street in St John’s are also donated to the kitchen.
The Cool & Smooth Store located on Market Street has collaborated with the Lions Club in the past and continues to be a strong corporate citizen. Church volunteers expressed their appreciation to Cool & Smooth and the Lions Club of Antigua for the donation and for supporting this hunger-reduction initiative.
