Frederick Henry – Golden Grove Man Gets 18½ Years for 2023 Carlisle Bay Shooting
A Golden Grove man who admitted to shooting two people outside the Carlisle Bay Resort more than three years ago will spend the next 18 years and six months behind bars.
Frederick Henry was sentenced after pleading guilty in June to charges stemming from the April 11, 2023 shooting at the Old Road resort.
Henry received 18 years and six months for the attempted murder of Morrisa Henry and eight years for shooting with intent in connection with male victim Dane Anthony.
He was also sentenced to four years for the firearm offence and an additional 12 months for ammunition possession.
The sentences will run concurrently, meaning Henryâs effective prison term is 18 years and six months.
The shooting happened shortly before midnight on April 11, 2023, as Anthony and Morrisa Henry were walking toward the resortâs gate after finishing their shifts.
Police said the pair came under gunfire at about 11:30 p.m.
Anthony suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while Morrisa Henry was also shot several times, sustaining injuries to her arms and side.
Both victims were rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment. Their injuries required hospitalisation, including periods in the Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Ward, before both were eventually discharged.
The case has now concluded with Henry beginning an 18-year-and-six-month prison sentence for his role in the shooting.

Well lord see where that gun land you? Smith & Wesson doesn’t have a outlet here so where did you get that gun and ammunition and who gave you the right to try and take out another human being can you create life would you like someone do the same thing you had done to another person? good for you I hope this serves as a lesson to others that are thinking on doing the same thing.
They needed to pass a law that when they catch someone with gun and ammunition they talk where they get it from and if they refuse to talk give them 5 years for not saying where the gun came from that way you try to get the guns off the street and those that are giving or selling it
