The Hopeful Hearts Foundation (HHF) has concluded a successful community outreach mission in Barbuda, strengthening relationships with residents, supporting children and families, and laying the foundation for a long-term presence on the island.

Hhf Concludes Successful Barbuda

The outreach mission, held from July 3rd to 5th, donated school supplies, toys and clothing to support members of the community. Over the three days, the team carried out a number of impactful initiatives aimed at empowering young people and fostering community engagement.

On Friday, HHF officially handed over school supplies to Holy Trinity Primary School, hosted a community clothing and toy drive, facilitated activities for children, and began a mural project at the school in partnership with Chaneil Imhoff of the Wadadli Initiative for Self-care and Healing (WISH). In a media interview with the Barbuda Channel, the foundation highlighted the purpose of the outreach mission and its commitment to national service.

Saturday’s activities focused on community engagement and youth empowerment. The team attended the Barbuda Entrepreneurial Trade Show, connecting with local entrepreneurs and residents while learning more about the island’s businesses and culture.

That evening, National Youth Ambassador and Founder and CEO of Hopeful Hearts Foundation, Kristine Louisa, delivered a presentation to the Barbuda Youth Council, sharing her journey of resilience, leadership, and community service while encouraging young people to become changemakers within their own communities.

She outlined the plans that HHF has for future collaborations that include expanding its programmes on the island.

“This mission was never intended to be a one-time visit,” said Louisa. “Our time in Barbuda has shown us the incredible potential that exists among its young people and within the wider community. We are excited about the possibility of establishing a Hopeful Hearts youth group in Barbuda and extending our outreach by regularly sending cargo with school supplies, clothing, and other essential items to continue supporting families throughout the year.”

The Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to Barbuda Ocean Club, Senator Kendra Beazer, Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, Fastlane Construction, the Barbuda Youth Council, WISH, volunteers, donors, and community members who contributed to the success of the mission.
