The government says it will contribute US$120,000 to make a US$1 million-dollar interpretation centre for Blubber Valley possible.
It is to be funded almost exclusively by the Global Environment Fund (GEF).
The UN body will contribute US$950,000 and the Government will provide counterpart funding of US$120,000.
The interpretation centre will capture the history of Christian Valley and Boggy Peak; it will become an attraction for schools, adults and visitors.
According to the government, the building will be constructed to maximize environmental concerns, including energy-savings building-materials and solar power; it will be built to harvest rainwater and to capture wastewater for re-use.
Construction will commence in August 2017 and be complete by March 2018.
