LIAT Strike ends, pilots are retuning to work

June 9, 2017
in News

After three days of refusing to fly, LIAT pilots are resuming their duties.

This after a deal between LIAT pilots and management was reached this evening.

According to reports, the pilots are to resume work immediately but the details of the arrangement have not been made public.

The pilots have been protesting LIAT’s delay in paying them back pay and salary increases to fly the new ATR planes.

The action by pilots left thousands affected across the Caribbean.

LIAT says it is now working to restore normal operations and will be working to assist passengers in rebooking to restored services.

‘Passengers are reminded that they have a two week period to rebook any disrupted flight with all change fees waived.

‘LIAT would like to thank our passengers for their patience and loyalty during this period and look forward to restoring normal services to the public,” the company said in a statement.
