There is growing anger across the nation over Christians United protesting against the Daniel 2 statue at Glorious Hope Ministries on All Saints Road.
Many citizens are upset that such protests are causing so much division among the Christian community, and they are questioning why church groups are fighting against one another over a scripture-based statue.
The Daniel 2 statue represents the dream of Daniel and the promise of Christ’s second coming. It is not an object of worship, but a reminder of faith and theological significance.
Yet, instead of celebrating this scriptural symbol, Christians United have chosen to protest it, leaving many to wonder if they truly understand the Bible.
Elderly persons in the nation are expressing shame and disbelief that a group calling itself Christian would challenge another church over a statue rooted in scripture.
This division looks very bad for the nation.
Church groups confronting each other over religious symbols sends a message of conflict rather than faith, and citizens are urging Christians United to reflect on the greater good.
Religious liberty allows people to express their faith freely and venerate symbols that inspire spiritual reflection.
The Daniel 2 statue, like other statues of heroes and sacred figures in Antigua and Barbuda, enriches the nation culturally, spiritually, and even economically.
The nation calls for peace, understanding, and unity.
It is shameful that church against church conflict is overshadowing faith. Instead of creating division, Christians United should focus on promoting harmony, respecting the beliefs of others, and allowing theological symbols to inspire, educate, and bring the community together.
