Ovals Resident – Police have formally charged 24-year-old Jermaine Nicholas of Ovals, in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Jahmarie Pierre of Mc Pond, All Saints.

The charge relates to an incident that occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. on March 25 in the vicinity of the All Saints traffic lights.
Police allege that Pierre was involved in an altercation with another man during which he sustained a stab wound to the back of his neck. He was transported to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was later pronounced dead.
Nicholas was arrested shortly after the incident and has since been formally charged. He remains in police custody and is expected to make his first appearance before the court sometime next week.
Meanwhile, the Police Administration has thanked the public for its continued support and assistance in this and other matters. Authorities are also appealing to young adults to refrain from violent conduct and to resolve disputes in a peaceful and lawful manner.
