ROBBERY SUSPECT WANTED BY POLICE
A 22yr-old man is wanted by police in connection with a daring daylight robbery, which took place at a travel agency on Nelson’s Alley. Anthony Kenroy Hamilton of Jamaica, who resides at Nut Grove, is wanted for the alleged robbery committed at Innovative Travel & Tours around midday on Friday 7th April.
It is alleged that he stormed into the business place armed with a gun; bounded and gagged the female owner, before robbing her of an undisclosed sum of money and her purse. A member of the public, who witnessed the incident, pursued the assailant onto Newgate and Thames Streets and reported it to a police officer in the area. The officer gave chase, but eventually lost sight of him when he disappeared on Long and Temple Streets.
He is described to be approximately 5ft-10ins in height; slimly built with a fair complexion and carries a low cut hairstyle. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police are appealing to him to surrender himself at any police station immediately.
