Stray dog removal begins in St. John’s ahead of CHOGM
The Veterinary and Livestock Division is conducting a stray dog removal exercise in St. John’s from October 26 to November 6 as part of safety preparations for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
In a public notice, the division asked residents to report stray dogs loitering in the capital by calling 460-1759 or 764-1263.
The division, which falls within the Department of Agriculture, appealed for public cooperation to help create a safer, cleaner and healthier Antigua and Barbuda.
The notice does not specify where the dogs will be taken or how owners can reclaim animals removed during the exercise.
