Swetes Roman Hill Stay
Swetes/Roman Hill continued their unbeaten run in the Antigua Generators/Cool & Smooth sponsored Village Netball League when, on Thursday, they easily beat Willikies 45-13 at Swetes.
Playing in the opening clash of a triple-header in the Female Division of the Antigua and Barbuda Netball Association (ABNA) hosted competition, Swetes/Roman Hill were led by Ervedine Parker-Barnard who hit 28 of her 39 attempts. She had help form Trecia Jarvis with 11 of 17 and Jamila Fitz who sank six of her 13 attempts.
In a losing effort, Summer Buckleys picked up eight of her nine attempts with N’Zae Williams banking four of her 10 attempts. Sanchez Martin contributed with one of four attempts.
Also in the Female Division, Seatons Eastsiders enjoyed a 75-21 triumph over Newfield in a one-sided affair.
Former national shooter, Amey Lake, was on fire for the victors, hitting 62 of her 73 attempts. Christina Lloyd contributed with 13 of 28 attempts. For Newfield, Esther Emmanuel picked up 20 of her 25 attempts with Tanesha Michael hitting one of her two attempts.
There was action in the Mixed Division as well with Potters Stingers edging a determined Grays Green Flyballers 25-24.
Molefi Joseph led the scoring for the victors with 17 of 24 attempts while Adina Andre picked up five of eight. Michael Burton contributed with three of five. In a losing effort, Deandre Harris and Krizia Duncan both picked up 12 points for Flyballers.
