The Antigua & Barbuda Volleyball Association (ABAVA) has named both a Men’s and Women’s Senior National Team ahead of the 2026 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Senior Volleyball Championships slated for August 12-16 at the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Tortola, British Virgin Islands (BVI).
The men’s team is being led by Cairon Davis while the women’s squad will be captained by veteran Nyota Peters.
Antigua and Barbuda, in the men’s competition, will face St Lucia, Grenada and St Vincent & the Grenadines (SVG) in Pool A. They will face St Lucia in their opening clash on August 12th before taking on SVG one day later. Antigua and Barbuda rounds off their group play against Granada on August 14th.
In the women’s tournament, Antigua and Barbuda (AB) will contest Pool A alongside the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Grenada. Team AB take on Grenada on August 12th before facing the BVI on August 13th.
Senior Men’s National Team: Cairon Davis (Captain), Dominick Anthony, Collin Thomas, Dwight Bonnie, Abner Farquare, Asafa Donavan, Paul Richards, Erwin Mathurin, Jamarie James, Amali Mannix and Jedidiah Christian. The team is coached by Fitzroy Benjamin with assistance from Braulio Estrada-Lopez.
Senior Women’s National Team: Nyota Peters (Captain), Jaanai Jacobs, Alliyah Smith, Rayana Regis, Josanne Lewis, Faith Gibson, Phillisha Burnette, Jahzara Donavan, Anik Jarvis, Allisha Jno-Baptiste and Jaya Carr. The team is being coached by Carl Williams with Rosemarie Simon as his assistant.
